July-September Philippine Events and Holidays

Have you started scheduling your next local vacation? With only 15 paid days off (plus or minus for some), you really need to make a lot of thinking to ensure that those days are not wasted just lying in bed or staying at home watching TV series marathons. If you’re quite the explorer like me, this list of events and holidays all around the Philippines is worth a second look and maybe carving out a couple of days from your precious VL credits.

2012 is an exciting year for local tourism with the Department of Tourism getting all the help it can get from everyone who are into social media to advertise the campaign “It’s Fun in the Philippines”.  By the looks of it, Filipinos who have at least one Facebook account have responded to DOT’s plea and now making their own take on broadcasting the latest battle cry in marketing  Philippine tourism.

WOW Philippines and its success formula may have been shelved for good. Now, the promise of the latest slogan will greatly depend on how Filipinos loudly and creatively sell the idea to the world that it’s indeed more “Fun in the Philippines.”
It’s time to take part in this campaign. Go through the list, get excited and boost Philippine tourism by taking  that V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N!
