Calamian Isles… Heaven on Earth (Coron and Busuanga, Palawan) Part 5 of 7

Sustenance at La Sirenetta
View of Coron sunset from La Sirenetta

Burning thousands of calories after my Mt. Tapyas climb, I deserved to have a decent and sumptuous mid-afternoon meal.

La Sirenetta back at the center of Coron town was a good find for relaxing ambience that served Italian and local cuisine. What better way to nourish oneself but to carbo-load.

A boat ready to leave for La Sirenetta

La Sirenetta is a restaurant that faced the sea and the islands with enchanting mermaids that adorn its pillars. You can play billiards as you wait for the order, have a drink in a nautical themed bar, enjoy the great view and island music and freshen up in restrooms that were neat beyond my expectation.  Their authentic Italian pizza and pasta was nourishing as it was mouth-watering and reasonably priced.  I wasn’t disappointed.  Thumb’s up to La Sirenetta.

Check-out the Check-in
The day hinted for me to finally check-out accommodations at Dive Link resort in Uson island just 15minutes boat ride from Coron town market.

Tucked away in lush greens, this secret of a resort slowly revealed its colorful dock, rainbow colored flags waving welcome, charming cottages and a veranda cum dining hall where you can eat and have fantastic view of the sand, sea and the changing hues of the sky.

The resort has a karaoke/movie room, a floating deck where you can sunbathe, kayaks at your disposal when you want to get closer to the mangroves, a strip of sand where you can chill, a gift shop and a computer room with wi-fi access to send those assignments from the islands. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were simple, clean and homey. Perfect.  I celebrated my good decision to stay in this resort by having coffee at the poolside and watched the bancas pass until the moon showed its silvery glow.
